LA Gear’s celebration of the Unstoppable line from ’89-’90 continues, with its limited edition release of the Stardust.  BUY LA GEAR

090501_D3_0158-Edit_web.jpgThe LA Gear Originals silhouette was a hit in Europe not long ago; now
090501_D3_0180-Edit_web.jpg, LA Gear and Sportie LA are bringing the Stardust to the US, in five colors – light grey, white/blue, white/grey/green, white/lilac/green, and light pink.

With its classic look, rhinestones, and bow-tie in the back, the Stardust was one of the most popular women’s styles to
090501_D3_0155-Edit_web.jpgcome out of LA Gear in the late 80′s. The styling is quintessential late
090501_D3_0189-Edit_web.jpg80′s, bringing back memories of leg warmers and aerobic workouts. Accessorizing sneakers was novel, and LA Gear led the way with the Stardust. “We are very excited to expand the relaunch of the Unstoppable line with one of the iconic women’s shoes of the 1980′s,” said Director of LA Gear specialty product Lance Jackson.

090501_D3_0162-Edit_web.jpgThe limited edition run consists of 89 pairs, said Sportie LA co-owner
090501_D3_0178-Edit_web.jpgIsack Fadlon, in tribute to the 1989-90 Unstoppable line. “We actually did 90 pairs, but the first one went to my mom for Mother’s Day!” he explained.

The Stardust goes on sale the night of May 12, at 11:59PM PST at www.sportiela.com/lagear/stardust.html, and is available exclusively at Sportie LA. For more info on LA Gear, stay tuned to www.LaGearNews.com.

Umm where can we buy these? No link that I can see. Would appreciate an URL if you have one…

  • There’s a Buy LA Gear button on the article – you’ll be able to buy the Stardust there as soon as it goes on sale, May 12 at 11:59pm!

  • The shoes are really cute and I like the colorful ones. What I cannot find is the black shoe. I see it here http://www.sportiela.com/lagear/LaGearPhotoAlbum/images/090501_D3_0071-Edit_web.jpg
but I not able to buy it.

  • Hesh, please fill me in on when the lights are coming back, I want them so bad!!!!!!!!! I literally have been checking this page frequently for about 5 months to see when they are coming, give me a date please I am going crazy! Thanks.

  • Thank you for bringing back these shoes. I loved them before and then they were gone. I never could find shoes that fit so good and felt good to wear. I bought two pair at famous footwear. I am so glad to have them back.

  • exactly when are the light ups coming out? i’ve been waiting for this for a very long time.

  • Looking like November or December of this year… we’re all excited about it! Have you seen the sneak peeks on this blog yet? More pics are coming soon!

  • BRING BACK THE STREET BRATS!! THEY WERE THE CUTEST SNEAKERS EVER. I WISH I HAD BOUGHT A DOZEN PAIR WHEN THEY WERE AVAILABLE.

  • Please, please, please. Bring back the Michael Jackson shoes for men and women. That was the best shoe of all time. I had a pair when I was very young, till today I still love them even though they don’t fit. Even by today’s standard they would give any celeb endorsed shoe a run for the money.

  • Hopefully they’ll come back and you can get a pair that fits!! And you make a good point – you know, this was in a day when every bballer did not have his own shoe. This was special – other than Pepsi, LA Gear is the only brand Michael ever endorsed!

  • I am very disappointed in LA GEar for not having any other way than the phone which they won’t answer, to contact them. I was told by meijer that they would have to take care of their shoes that fell apart about2-3 weeks after I bought them. I couldn’t make it back to meijer due to my work schedule and they don’t cover anything after 30 days. I tried calling the number off the website and con’t get anywhere.
I had a pair of La Gear when I was a young girl and loved them and they held together a lot better, but that was 12-15 years ago.

  • Hi – while the sneakers you bought are not part of the LA Gear Originals line we cover on this blog, we have asked the sellers of those shoes for a customer service contact to help you out. Here it is: Desperanza@aciint.com. Please email this person right away, and they should be able to address the problem!

  • Hello everyone!

I just wanted to say hi to everyone

    Adios

  • I love the racer shoe, but I can’t find my size in any store. I wear a child size 2-1/2.
My Granddaughter also wants a pair size 13 or 1. Can you help us?

  • Sirs, My daughter loved her pair of LA Gear racers. They are style #LFCWG4063B which had a brown netting fabric on the sidewalls of the upper and had an elastic band with a velcro securing end for the lacing and had blue stripes. The only thing I could find on line was a different color and was at Sears “LA Gear Women’s Racer – Brown/Pink”.It only came in womens sizes. Is that style of shoe available in childrens size USA 2 1/2? My daughter absolutely loved that shoe and wore it to pieces. Please help-I will be her hero if I can find them. Thanks,Jerry (dad).
